I'd been putting off this one for weeks, but finally found myself with a new car that needed some serious cleaning - my wife's vehicle was in dire need of a good scrubbing. She had mentioned getting me something special for Christmas, and when I mentioned it, she suggested I buy one herself and let her give it to me.
I'd actually been eyeing the Karcher brand, but at first thought they were a bit pricey. However, after doing some research, I decided to splurge on the Bosch model, as I've had good experience with their products in the past. My wife had given it to me along with a few other gifts she'd picked up, including a new snowfoam lance and dedicated connector.
When I finally got my hands on the Bosch, I was excited to test it out. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy process - it kept cutting out no matter how many hoses I tried to connect. I even tried using the extension lead without any issues, but the problem persisted. My wife had suggested that maybe the trigger lock button on the gun handle needed to be pressed, so I decided to take a closer look.
It wasn't until I got my hands on the instructions again and read them through carefully that I realized I'd missed an important detail - pressing the trigger lock button was essential for getting it working properly. With this newfound understanding, I set about putting everything back together again, and to my relief, it finally started working like it should.
I decided to take a deep breath and let my wife handle any issues she came up with, as I didn't want to make myself out to be someone who's completely incompetent (although, I have to admit, I was feeling pretty embarrassed by this point). I did take the opportunity to read through the questions and answers again, hoping that they might provide some insight into what was going on.
As it turned out, there was a simple solution - when you press the trigger lock button, you get the stop-start business back. It took me a while to figure this out, but once I did, my confidence was restored.
I've been using the Bosch for a few days now, and it's been a real game-changer. The power is amazing, and it's so easy to use - even my 31-year-old son couldn't keep up with me! The small size and ease of use are definitely an advantage, in my opinion.
I've also had a good experience with the pressure washer, using it to clean my wife's car outside the house. It was powerful, long-lasting, and easy to control - I was impressed.
One minor issue is that the detergent supplied comes out quickly, which means you'll need to refill it frequently. You can buy a snowfoam lance on eBay that fits perfectly with the dedicated connector, so I would recommend getting one of those if you do decide to try using it with this product.
Overall, I'm really pleased with my new Bosch - it's been a real winner in my household, and I've even found myself enjoying the process of cleaning the car.
